Does the Law of Attraction Work
"The Law of Attraction" - the key idea in the movie The Secret.
Many times have I been asked if it works to build wealth through attraction. My answer is definitely! It did what it was meant to do and got your attention -
It attracted you!
It attracted you!
- It attracted millions of people all over the world.
- So, in fact, it did what the author wanted it to do.
- She made a huge fortune and created a lot more for the people involved and who knew how to use it.
There have been many criticisms about the focus of the ideas in the movie. It is all well and true. In fact, all the 'teachers' in the movie will tell you that the one main ingredient it lacked focus on was the action or activity that was required to put your desires into motion.
Now, to be fair, this was mentioned several times or even perhaps at least a dozen times. But the message of putting thoughts into action was missed or downplayed.
And that is the crux of the problem - that of putting thoughts into action. You see, admit it now -

most people will rather have things done the easy way for them.

Most people are simply looking for the magic bulllet that will bring them fame and fortune and whatever else their hearts desire.

Wouldn't you rather have the goodies fall into your lap like the elephant did in the movie "The Secret"?
The truth is, I feel sorry for these people. No, not because I am an irrevocable emphathetic giver but because they are headed for a life of feeling sorry for themselves and helplessness.
If anyone sits back and simply wishes for the ginnie in the lamp to appear, they'll be very sorry and remain very sorry for themselves. They'll just wish and wish and wish and doubt and wish and doubt some more.

Those "desiring" excercises that you are put through and heavily extolled by The Law of Attraction, will bring you up to the very first step to your desires. You then need to pounce on what comes to bring you to your successes.
It takes directed action. True activity on your part to achieve your desires. Then you will have success in motion.

But then comes another set of problems.

How will you recognize that this is an opportunity and not a rotten egg?

What happens if the opportunity comes but you don't know what to do?

Where is a mentor or advisor when you need one to guide you?
People have asked me these questions many times. Yes, I've actually known of opportunities that came my my or the way of many people and we have no idea where or whom to turn to.
It then becomes "Be very careful of what you wish for, for you may get your wish."
I like to add "Ouch! I have it" for obvious reasons.

So, where does this leave all of us? My main preference has always been to be prepared for what you really want. Prepare your foundations in life and it will lead you to benefit greatly from opportunities that come your way.
Now, make no mistake, many people and many masters have just as many methods. It is in developing your foundations of wealth that you will find your true wealth as this very same foundation will guide you for you.

- Educate yourself as deeply as you can in your field of dreams.
- Be a player to experience your chosen desires and not merely be a watcher.
- In the field, find the players and the team leader or coach, they will be there.
